Hannah Clark BA ( Hons ) Commercial Photography.
I first became interested in photography at school whilst studying for my GCSE's, not being the academic type, I decided to take my photography studies through AS and A level, achieving top marks. This made me want to pursue my photography studies further and I settled on a three year Commercial Photography course at the University of Derby. I graduated in 2015 with a high 2:1 grade.
The course involved all aspects of setting up and maintaining a successful photography business, from creating business plans to copyright laws, however it was the practical side of the course where I could become creative that really interested me. I quickly became aware that I loved studio work and working with both male and female models and children, from commercial style photography to cinematic location shots. I love discovering and experimenting in new styles of photography and have worked in with nightlife, family portraiture and wedding photograph
During the three year course I became inspired by the style of Bruce Webber and his male form style of photography, producing male fashion and glamour images as part of my portfolio. In fact, my dissertation questioned whether the current trend of using Homoerotic images in advertising was a new idea or something that had been used for centuries.
When working with groups of people, my approach is to provide images in a relaxed, natural environment ,look and feel, as I believe these show those little moments that make a day special and can be easily overlooked or missed.
My business is based in the Midlands and have my own transport. I have portable equipment, studio backdrops, lighting and studio flash lights and props.
I am also fully skilled in Photoshop for editing and manipulating photographs to a high level.
Many Thanks for taking a look.
